LAS VEGAS (SEMA Show, Booth #11821) – The WD-40® Ultimate Work Truck is making the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas its final stop on The WD-40 Last Straw Tour, and the custom-built truck will be auctioned to benefit Rebuilding Together®.
The auction will run on eBay®, Sunday, Oct. 26 through Wednesday, Nov. 5. Ian Johnson, host of “Xtreme 4X4,” part of the PowerBlock on Spike TV, will announce the winning auction bid at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5 at the WD-40 booth.
The WD-40 Ultimate Work Truck is a 2008 GMC Sierra 3500 HD 1-ton dually, which was tricked out during an episode of “Xtreme 4X4.” Host Johnson gave the GMC Sierra truck a lift kit, power enhancers, big-rig tires and more than one dozen aftermarket upgrades so it could tow the WD-40 mobile versatility center – a massive interactive trailer wrapped with hundreds of uses for WD-40 – on The WD-40 Last Straw Tour. The entire winning bid from the eBay truck auction will be donated to Rebuilding Together, a national nonprofit organization that provides free home repair and renovations for low-income homeowners.
The SEMA Show will mark the conclusion of The WD-40 Last Straw Tour, a national tour to educate consumers about the new WD-40 Smart Straw® can, which features a permanently attached straw that flips up for a pinpoint stream and down for a wide spray. Automotive enthusiasts have used WD-40 more than 50 years, for everything from loosening stuck spark plugs to removing insects from front grills.
